When drilling a borehole, we usually go through different layers of soil, clay, rock, and sandstone until we reach a water – bearing layer called an aquifer. Our team has over 15 years of experience in the Cape, so we know what signs to look for – like changes in drill pressure, water traces, or specific rock formations.
Once we hit a layer that produces a steady water yield, we stop drilling and do a yield test to confirm. Every area is different, which is why working with a professional team is important.
