What a deck actually costs in Cape Town, broken down honestly. Decking is priced per square metre, but the rate shifts a long way depending on the timber, how high the deck sits off the ground, what the substructure has to do, and how much cutting the shape demands.
The articles below cover current supply and install rates for treated pine, Garapa, Balau, Massaranduba and composite, what drives a quote up or down, and how to read a decking quote so you can compare two of them properly. If you want a number for your own project rather than a range, our decking calculator gives you an estimate in under a minute.
